Westmount in Oakville sells out
in three hours
As seen in HOMES Magazine
December-January, 2010
The market is hopping, and more
than one thousand families registered
for a chance to attend
National’s new release of just 54
singles and side-by-side semis at
Oakville’s Westmount in Glen Abbey.
That’s a remarkable number of people
looking to buy in a small infill project,
but then National was advertising one
of the lowest freehold prices in
Westmount.
To be fair, National invited small
groups to attend the preview in the
order in which they had registered.
Three hours after the doors opened,
every single home had been purchased.
“We knew we had something special
here at Westmount,” says National’s
Marketing Manager, Deena Pantalone.
“But we certainly didn’t expect to sell out
in hours. It’s very gratifying and very
exciting to have a response like this.”
The now-sold-out Phase One included
freehold side-by-side semis priced from
the $280’s, and 30-foot greenbelt and
park singles priced from the $380’s.
If you missed out, the good news is
that there are more homes coming
early next year. The next Phase of
Westmount will be the last ever
released in this sought-after Glen
Abbey neighbourhood and will consist
of condominium townhomes. National
will keep the existing list of registrants
to give anyone who missed out a second
opportunity to purchase. If you’re
not already on that list, you can register
your name now.
“It’s clear that there are a lot of people
who want to own in Westmount
and we want to do everything we can
to help them. That’s why we’re already
pushing ahead to get our next Phase
ready as quickly as possible,” says
Pantalone.
Why all the excitement about
Westmount? National, who has been
voted Oakville’s favourite homebuilder,
has elegant home designs designed by
an award-winning architect, as well as
attractive prices. But perhaps the most
important reason is that it’s such a
beautiful place to live. There are lots
for families to do in Glen Abbey’s
Westmount with parks and schools and
great shopping all in the neighbourhood.
And, with greenbelt and parkland
bordering two sides of the
community, there’s a whole world of
hiking and biking just waiting for you.
Of course, for golfers, the internationally
famous Glen Abbey Golf
Course is just down the road, and
best of all — it’s a public course.
Transportation is a dream with
Highway 403 just to the north, the
QEW to the south and the GO Train
Station just a few minute’s drive away.
If you’re looking for one final
chance to get into National’s
Westmount take the time to register.
Phase Two is coming early next year,
quantities will be limited and you
wouldn’t want to miss out.
