Customer Care

Everything has been finalized, and it's now "closing day". Just one last thing to do, and that is the release of your "house key".

Closing Time
Closings normally happen in the afternoon, but they can happen earlier at your lawyer's discretion. Once you have closed, you may:

  • Begin unloading moving trucks
  • Have new appliances and new furniture delivered
  • Have service installations (e.g. cable, phone, etc.)

* Please note that we can't allow any moving, deliveries, installation, etc. until our lawyers have informed us that the closing has been confirmed and that the keys can be released.

Paving your Driveway
So your driveway is still a bit barren and "rough around the edges" so to speak. Unfortunately, we can't begin work on your driveway until the developer pours the curbs and the sidewalks (which usually occurs anytime from May to November). The topcoat can be poured around a year later, because the base coat needs to first settle.

> please see Grading & Assumptions for more on your driveway

Your new Beautiful Lawn
Grass is usually laid after the base coat has been poured on your driveway. Please note that once the grass is laid it's your responsibility to water and maintain it - including the boulevard!

Fencing
If your lot requires fencing, the fence will be installed after the sod is laid. Whether or not your lot can be fenced will depend on municipality requirements.
